The Life of a Driver at GTD
Since retiring in April 2002 from the haulage industry as a H.G.V. driver, I started working for GTD in September 2002 as a relief driver and through the years, I have progressed to doing 3 evenings, 2 afternoons and all day Sunday every week.
The pleasure of working for GTD is working with all sorts of different people, e.g. doctors, nurses, call handers all with a different sense of humour! I would like to carry on working as long as possible.
Family Friendly
Having worked for the organisation for 10 years I am one of the longest standing members of staff at GTD. During this time I have developed my role from call handler to currently working within the Governance Team. I received a high standard of care during my maternity leave and on my return I have been able to work flexibly around my child care needs. I thoroughly enjoy my time at GTD and would recommend it as a fantastic place to work.
