We are a not for profit provider of primary care services across Greater Manchester delivering urgent out of hours medical care to the populations of Manchester, Oldham, Tameside and Glossop, and out of hours dental services across Oldham and Salford. We also manage 8 GP practices and 3 GP Health Centres across Greater Manchester.

The design of our services aims to offer patients seamless care 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, using innovative technology and reflecting local patient needs and views. GO To DOC is a local non-for profit healthcare provider that started in Oldham in 1997, firstly as a GP co-operative and latterly, since 2004, as an independent provider of urgent primary care services.
Our not-for-profit status enables us not only to ensure NHS Pension Employing Authority (NHSPEA) status for employees but also to enable re-investment of all surpluses generated back in to the health economy, maximising value for money for the public and commissioners. This is a central component for us in delivering our commitments to high quality and cost effective services that are locally responsive, matching and exceeding the expectations of the public and commissioners.

We provide urgent primary care services to the populations of Oldham, Manchester and Tameside & Glossop PCTs, both during the in-hours and out of hours periods. Additionally, in partnership with a dental practice, we provide dental out of hours services to the PCT populations of Oldham and Salford.
Our embedded call prioritisation algorithm and integrated decision support software enable robust and consistent assessment and self care advice at all times. The skills mix and capacity of our clinical workforce is carefully profiled to reflect the case mix and volume of demand using real time patient data. This ensures a responsive, clinically appropriate and cost effective service is always provided.
We also provide an integrated out of hours IT hub for the North East Manchester sector and the South Manchester dental consortia.
