gtd healthcare is a not for profit provider of primary care services across the North West. We employ a clinical triage team providing medical input to the Greater Manchester Effective Use of Resources (EUR) triage panel and are currently looking to strengthen the team with up to two additional GPs.
It’s a rewarding role working as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team (including medicines management, public health and commissioning) assessing cases referred for non-commissioned services; supporting Greater Manchester CCGs aim to reduce the variation in access across the region; ensuring compliance with clinical commissioning policies; ensuring access to services for treatment is considered where there is acceptable evidence of clinical benefit and cost-effectiveness; and to promote the cost-effective use of healthcare resources.
It's a unique opportunity for a GP interested in broadening their portfolio and experience by using their clinical expertise in primary care to contribute to supporting clinical commissioning across the Greater Manchester footprint.
The role requirements are: strong team working, interest in medical ethics, ability to analyse and apply evidence, objective and consistent decision making, reliability, punctuality. Some experience of commissioning would be useful but not essential.
