Kirkholt Medical Practice holds an alternative provider medical service contract (APMS) with Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale PCT.
This contract allows the practice to offer Primary Care services to registered patients living within the Rochdale area and also allows the practice to provide additional services i.e extended opening times, weight management and a complete well person check to all patients.
This new gp surgery based at Kirkholt, Rochdale opened on 1st November and is currently registering new patients
Home Visits
If you are unable to attend the medical practice and need a home visit contact reception on 01706 261813. Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability. If possible pleast try to telephone before 10am. A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange going to hospital. Please note we are always able to examine patients better and can do more tests in the practice. Please make every effort to attend the practice if you can.
What if the Practice is closed?
If you need advice or treatment outside of the hours listed in the table below please call the surgery and you will automatically be redirected to the out of hours service.
Alternatively you can call Bardoc directly on 0161 763 4242. A call handler will answer your call, and take a few details. The call handler will then either:
Arrange for you to speak to a doctor or nurse, or
Invite you to attend a treatment centre and be seen by the doctor, or
Arrange a home visit if you are too ill to visit the centre.

Catchment area and registrations
Our practice includes all of Rochdale so if you live in this area you can register with us.
If you would like to register at the practice you can visit the practice or ring 01706 261813 or email kirkholt.admin@nhs.net and we will arrange to have a registration form sent to you and organise a new patient appointment.
Making an appointment
If you would like to see the doctor or nurse please phone 01706 261813 or come into the practice to make an appointment.
If you are unable to keep your appointment it is very important that you let us know so that we can offer the appointment to someone else. Our practice policy is to inform any patient who arrives more than 15 minutes late for an appointment that unfortunately they may not be seen and will have to re-book their appointment.
How to find us
We are located on Queens Drive, off Queensway (A664). We have excellent parking facilities with disabled parking and wheelchair access to the premises.
