The Health Centre offers Primary Care services to registered patients living within the catchment area (see below) as well as non-registered patients visiting, living in, or working in the area. Services are available between 8am and 8pm seven days a week including all Bank Holidays.

Home Visits

If you are unable to attend the Health Centre and need a home visit contact reception on 0161 8396227. Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability. If possible please try to telephone before 10am. A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange going to hospital. Please note we are always able to examine patients better and can do more tests in the centre. Please try to make it to the centre if you can.

What if the Centre is closed?

If you need advice or treatment outside of the hours listed in the table below please call the surgery and you will automatically be redirected to the out of hours service.

Alternatively you can call GO To DOC directly on 0161 336 3252. A call handler will answer your call, and take a few details. The call handler will then either:
Arrange for you to speak to a doctor or nurse, or
invite you to attend a treatment centre and be seen by the doctor, or arrange a home visit if you are too ill to visit the centre.

You could also:
- Call NHS Direct on 0845 4647
- Visit the NHS Direct website using the link at the bottom of this page

Catchment area and registrations

Our Centre area includes all postcodes M1 - M4 so if you live in this area you can register with us. Patients from all areas can use our unregistered patient services.

In order to register with the Centre you should bring your NHS medical card and also evidence of your place of residence, such as a work permit visa, utility bill or photo ID. If you don't have a medical card a receptionist will ask you to fill in a form and will offer you a registration medical appointment.

Making an appointment

If you would like to see the doctor or nurse please phone 0161 8396227 or come into the Centre to make an appointment.

If you are unable to keep your appointment it is very important that you let us know so that we can offer the appointment to someone else. Our Centre policy is to inform any patient who arrives more than 15 minutes late for an appointment that unfortunately they may not be seen and will have to re-book their appointment.

How to find us

We are located within Boots the Chemist at the Cross Street Entrance.  On arrival please take the lift, which is immediately to your left, to the 2nd Floor.  The nearest parking is available within the Arndale Shopping Centre.
