David is an experienced leader who has worked in the public and not for profit sectors at Executive Board level for over 12 years. He has led acute services reconfiguration change processes and regional specialist services re-organisation. Also, he was instrumental in the early adoption of pioneering demand management schemes gaining recognition at the Department of Health as a national beacon of good practice. Latterly, he has worked in the not for profit sector leading a primary care and urgent care provider to grow from a local GP owned company to one of the largest businesses of its type in the north west. His work since 2005 has had an emphasis on building a high quality primary care and urgent care organisation that offers highly innovative clinical services supported by commercial quality business functions. In doing so, David has overseen the introduction of many innovations that have re-shaped the concept of primary care and urgent care locally.
