Alison Hall - Triage Nurse

gtd Urgent Care

I would just like to say that one of the main reasons I enjoy working at gtd is the variety that the job provides, no two shifts are ever the same with the many and varied types of calls we get. The support network from both Administration and Clinical staff is excellent with colleagues offering a wide range of knowledge and expertise, which only enhances the service we provide to our patients. Having worked at gtd for a number of years and seen many changes and developments occur the common thread throughout has always been patient care and the wellbeing of staff within the organisation.

Charlotte Greenbank - Call Handler

gtd Urgent Care

I work as a Call Handler at gtd; I work evening shifts in the week and various times at weekends. I have made lots of friendships with the people I work with. I train and mentor the new Call Handlers. I enjoy speaking directly to the patients on the telephone, and providing them with a positive first contact to gtd.

Denise Eddleston - Health Centre Manager

gtd Primary Care

I have worked for gtd from June 2009 as a Health Centre Manager. During my time here I have been supported by my managers and the wider team at Head Office, they have encouraged me to widen my knowledge and experience and develop services within the practice I am employed as a Health Centre Manager with a surgery which opened in August 2009 with a zero patient list and have built up a successful Practice over the past 5 years, utilising the staff at Head Office to ensure all aspects of HR, Finance, training, Information Governance and other areas are followed working together with the emphasis on patient care and staff well being.

Dr Zubair Ahmad - GP Adviser

The culture is great. The environment is empowering and the core values of the organization are aligned with mine. I have been working for more than four years mainly with the Governance team. Each day I am presented with new challenges and situations, which really help me to stay focused and interested. I also enjoy being able to be a part of a great team.

Lewis Fallows - Apprentice

gtd Head Office

I have been an apprentice at gtd now for 6 months and in that short period of time I have learnt over and beyond what I thought I might have learnt when starting this process. My daily tasks include the first phase of the employment process for example, I post the advert online, log all the applications and forward them to the relevant people. Once applications have been shortlisted I send out interview letters and arrange the times for the interviewees. I am also in charge of stock orders and have assumed all reception duties in the office. I have been entrusted with a large amount of responsibility which make me feel like a real part of the team and a valued member of staff. Everyone in the office has been very friendly and welcoming to me and I feel like I have made some great friends. All this collectively makes coming into work every morning enjoyable. My mentors Amy and Steevie have helped a tremendous amount in my progress and always encourage me to pursue a successful career in the future.

Steevie Pugh - Primary Care Facilitator

gtd Head Office

I started at gtd in August 2012 as HR Assistant on a temporary contract to cover for maternity leave. I enjoyed the ever-changing dynamics of my workload and the opportunity to interact with a wide range of people and form good working relationships with the gtd staff. When Amy returned from her maternity leave, I was offered a new position within the corporate administration and primary care teams, working closely alongside Paula, Sharon and Amy. My role now is varied and interesting with new challenges every day. It encompasses looking after the mandatory training for the entire company, managing locum GPs for the practices and working with Practice Managers to support their targets. One aspect of my role that I really enjoy is the collation, analysis and reporting of data, as this allows me to utilise the skills I developed whilst studying for my biological sciences degree at University and makes me feel that I am making a valuable contribution to the company. The best thing about working here is the supportive environment. I look forward to coming to work, even when we're under pressure, and really appreciate the flexibility and benefits that come as part of being a part of gtd.
