Welcome to Gordon Street Medical Centre

We aim to provide our patients with the best possible healthcare services that are of the highest standard.

Important patient notice:

  • Measles is an infection that spreads very easily and can cause serious problems in some people. This disease not only affects children, but it can also make adults seriously unwell.
  • The measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine is the best way to prevent it. Please make sure you and your child have received both doses of the MMR vaccinations. If you have any missed doses, please call the practice.
  • If you think you or your child has measles and are not in an urgent, life-threatening condition, please call NHS 111 or your GP for advice.
  • It is important to let your GP practice know before attending or as soon as you arrive at the door of the emergency department, that you or your child may have measles. This is so that you can wait away from other patients to prevent any further spread.
  • If you have measles, do not go to school, nursery or work for the four days after the rash first appears. Avoid close contact with babies, pregnant women, and anyone with weakened immune systems to prevent measles from spreading.

Further information and guidance is available here.
