We are still open and here for you.
Please be aware, all GP practices remain open and appointments are available to all patients. If you need medical advice or treatment, please contact your GP practice. Due to COVID-19, how to access your practice will be different at the moment. This is to limit face-to-face contact, where possible, to help stop the spread of the virus. Please be assured, you will continue to receive the same service you would normally receive from your GP practice. Please do not visit a GP practice unless you have an appointment. Alternatively, you can visit your local pharmacy for advice on minor health concerns.
If you require urgent but not life-threatening medical assistance that cannot wait until your GP practice re-opens, please call 111. Following a telephone assessment by NHS 111 you will be provided with information about the appropriate service for your health problem. If you are unsure which health care service you need to visit, NHS 111 will signpost you to the most appropriate care for your condition - GP, local pharmacy, walk-in-centre, emergency department or an emergency ambulance response.
If you have a life-threatening medical emergency, please dial 999.
Calls to the NHS 111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles (pay as you go phones need to have at least 1p of credit, although no charge is made).

Why has accessing my GP practice changed?
General practice is still open, however to prevent the spread of COVID-19 there have been changes to GP appointments.
Can I book an appointment?
Your healthcare needs are still importance to us. If you have a healthcare problem, please contact your GP practice and book an appointment.
It’s important to:
- get medical help if you think you need it;
- keep any appointments or procedures you have booked;
- go to hospital if you’re advised to.
Our GP practices have made changes to make sure it’s safe for you to have an appointment.
Will I be offered an appointment?
When you phone the practice or go online to arrange an appointment, you will be asked to provide some information about your healthcare needs. This will help the practice’s healthcare team to assess the most appropriate way to provide your care. This may include a video or telephone consultation. Where patients need to be seen by a healthcare professional face-to-face, this will be arranged.
Please be aware, remote consultations will never replace face-to-face appointments, which should be available to all patients, where appropriate.
What is a telephone consultation?
Your appointment may be held via a telephone call to discuss your healthcare needs. Patients are encouraged to make sure the practice holds the correct contact details, including telephone numbers.
What is a video consultation?
Many practices have video conferencing facilities, which means an increasing number of appointments will be carried out safely online.
How do I attend a face-to-face appointment?
If you are asked to come into the practice for a face-to-face appointment, please make sure you follow any instructions given to you by staff at the practice. Please remember to wear a face covering, unless exempt, and socially distance at two metres, where possible. Measures are in place to keep you safe from infection during your visit. If you have a disability or condition which means you cannot wear a face covering or cannot communicate with someone who is wearing a face covering, or require other adjustments before your appointment, please let the practice know ahead of arrival.
Why is my GP practice busy?
We are currently supporting the delivery of the COVID-19 vaccination programme. We are balancing this programme whilst continuing to be open and managing your other clinical needs. Please be reassured that if you need medical attention, your practice is here for you and will determine how to best support you.
Thank you for your patience during these unprecedented times, your GP and practice team are available and working hard to support you and your family’s health and care needs.
