June bank holiday - practice closures

To commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the May bank holiday this year has changed from Monday, 30 May to Thursday, 2 June, with Friday, 3 June as an additional bank holiday.

As a result of this bank holiday, the practice will be closed on Thursday, 2 June and Friday, 3 June.

Please be assured, Gordon Street Medical Centre is open and appointments are available to all patients. Due to COVID-19, how you access the practice will be different at the moment, this is to prevent the spread of the virus. To ensure staff and patient safety, please remember to wear a face covering, unless exempt, and socially distance at two metres, where possible. Our aim is to provide our patients with the best possible healthcare services that are of the highest standard. As a patient, you will receive care that is responsive to your needs, and we will work with supporting organisations, where necessary, to achieve this. We pride ourselves on putting our patients first and in doing so, we will always take the time to listen and respond openly and honestly every time.

COVID-19: Practice update

In response to coronavirus (COVID-19) all patients with a non-medical emergency when the GP practice is open are advised to contact us in the usual way. All patients will be offered a telephone consultation for triage with a GP, following which, if appropriate, you will be offered a face-to-face appointment. Patients can continue to contact the practice via telephone between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Out-of-hours, if you require urgent but not life-threatening medical assistance that cannot wait until Gordon Street Medical Centre re-opens, please call NHS 111. If you have a life-threatening medical emergency, please dial 999.
