You may be aware of an emerging situation involving meningitis B cases in parts of Kent. The overall risk to the general public remains low, but it is important to stay informed and know what to look out for.

There are different types of bacteria and viruses that can cause meningitis. Vaccination against some of these is included in the UK vaccination programme. For more information, please click here. Patients are encouraged to stay up-to-date with all eligible vaccinations for themselves and their families.
