Individuals and teams were honoured at this year’s Staff Recognition Awards, an annual event dedicated to celebrating colleagues’ outstanding contributions.

This year’s awards received an excellent response, with 116 individual nominations, 47 team nominations and 112 nominations submitted by patients.

Employees and teams were nominated across nine categories centred around gtd healthcare’s values and learning and development.

The awards ceremony took place on 16 December at head office, where David Beckett, chief executive, announced the winners and runners-up.

David said the occasion allows us to pause, reflect and recognise the achievements of colleagues across the organisation and the difference they make every day.

“It is our moment to acknowledge those who truly embody our values, go above and beyond and inspire others,” he said.

The executive team reviewed all nominations and produced a shortlist, which was then passed to the gtd healthcare Board, who made the final decision on the winners and runners-up. Involving our non-executive directors added another level of objectivity to the judging process.

Graham Aitken, non-executive director, said it was a privilege to contribute to this year’s awards.

“It was a joy to read the shortlisted nominations and to learn more about the positive impact staff have on each other and on patients,” he said.

“The volume of nominations demonstrates the influence staff have and how valued they are.

“With such high-calibre nominations, reaching a decision was challenging, but ultimately very rewarding.”

Congratulations to all runners-up and winners.
