On Tuesday, April 21, Droylsden Medical Practice had an inspection from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

This is the second of our practices to be inspected. Once again it has proved to be a valuable learning experience, not only for the practice, but also for gtd in preparing for future inspections.

Overall, the CQC inspectors found that the practice team was committed to providing good quality care for its patients. Martine Trinick, the practice nurse, was noted as being a particular asset to the team.

Patient feedback, prior to and on the day, reported satisfaction with the clinical care provided although there were comments that access to appointments could be problematic. Already aware of this, the team has taken steps to address the issue.

The inspection highlighted other areas as opportunities for improvement, which again the team was aware of and is working together to address.

A big thank you and well done to Meryl and the practice team for their hard work and preparation for the inspection, and also for the ongoing work to continually improve the service provided.
