gtd healthcare has won a new contract with a residential care home, which will see residents benefit from a resilient service delivered by an experienced clinical team.

The service will include the provision of high quality respite care, assessment and re-ablement services for all residents at Medlock Court in Oldham from 2 November.

The contract, which will be undertaken in partnership with St Mary’s Medical Centre in Oldham, will involve dedicated GP sessions for the residents of Medlock Court from Monday to Saturday and home visiting 24-7. The service will be supported by a telephone advice line and support system, which will be accessed via a dedicated phone number.

David Beckett, chief executive of gtd healthcare, said we are delighted to have won this contract and are looking forward to providing a robust GP service for the residents of Medlock Court.

"The service provision at Medlock Court will include a core team of GPs who will have dedicated weekly sessions within specified times to ensure the residents’ needs are fully met,” he said.

"The service will be supported by 24-7 access to clinical advice and guidance via telephone assessment at our care co-ordination contact centre, daily GP ward rounds, 24-7 acute visiting service and a consistent GP team for continuity.

gtd healthcare has extensive experience of providing similar services, including Butler Green and Grange View Intermediate Care Units in Oldham and Tameside respectively providing flexible services that meet the patients’ needs.

The new contract will aim to see the multi-disciplinary team of clinical leadership maximise the service impact, patient outcomes and resources.
