Patients have benefitted from gtd healthcare’s participation in Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity’s Christmas donation campaign.

The initiative saw staff from head office and Preston and Chorley’s urgent care centres donate more than 60 presents, including money, so that patients who were in hospital on Christmas Day received a small gift.

Stacey Chantler, gtd academy’s assistant manager, said it was great to help make the festive season brighter for patients.

“We believe in the power of community support and the influence it can have on the wellbeing of individuals,” she said.

The charity worked alongside clinical colleagues to ensure that suitable presents were allocated to each ward across Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley and South Ribble Hospital.
